Haunting passages of Persian poetry accompany an exploration of the spiritual and transformative power of love, loss, and self-discovery in the face of oppression.

U.S. and Iranian iconography both clash and interweave in this deeply personal and experimental black-and-white short about hell, paradise, and political struggle.

Upcoming Film/Video & Book Projects

In Waiting pre-production stage

This is short poetic film that portrays the mindset of war with an ironic twist. In this scenario war is depicted as a children’s game, focusing on the pleasure they draw from uniting with their peers, and standing against one who is outside their “world and its laws.” The film also celebrates the female body as a subconscious counterpoint for deep desire for belonging.

Between Worlds: Portraits of Immigrant Youth, in progress

This project explores the identity of American adolescents from immigrant families through a series of portraits. The collection of work captures the inner psych of youth at a crucial transitional time before adulthood when they must then negotiate their inherited culture.
